Real portraits. Real people.
Just a touch of magic.
Hi, I’m Wozy — the photographer behind the lens and the kettle. I specialise in creating honest, character-driven portraits with a bold black and white aesthetic (and the occasional colour moment for dogs with exceptionally good coats).
My work is rooted in simplicity and soul. No studios. No over-posing. Just a real connection between you and the camera — whether we’re shooting in your home, your garden, or anywhere you feel most like yourself. I believe the best portraits happen when people are relaxed, seen, and gently encouraged to just… be.
The signature square black and white portraits? They’re all about stripping things back to what matters — strong lines, bold contrasts, and a whole lot of personality. For something more stylised, I also offer cinematic 4:5 and 3:2 portraits with more room to breathe, especially popular with women looking for something elegant, expressive, and entirely their own.
And yes, I photograph dogs too. In colour. With joy. Because honestly, have you seen what a wagging tail does to good light?
Whether you're here for personal portraits, a meaningful self-image project, or just to immortalise your excellent dog, I’m here to make sure the experience is easy, comfortable, and quietly empowering.
Wozy Photography is built on trust, a good eye, and the belief that everyone deserves to be captured in a way that feels like them. I’ll bring the camera — you just bring you.
Why I Do This
Because I know what it feels like to avoid the camera. To not see yourself reflected the way you want to be. To feel like portraits are for other people — more polished people, more confident people, people with perfect lighting and tidy hair.
But here’s the truth: you are already worth photographing. Not later. Not “when things calm down.” Not “once I’ve lost a bit of weight.” Right now.
I do this because I believe in the power of being seen — properly seen. A portrait can change the way you feel about yourself. It can mark a moment, shift a mindset, or simply remind you that yes, you do have that spark.
I’m not here to create versions of people. I’m here to hold space for who you already are — with care, with kindness, and with the kind of camera that doesn’t miss a thing.
That’s why I do this.
